The constant overload of negative news is triggering a lot of stress in all of us, both physically and mentally. So we do not feel overwhelmed, it’s important to recalibrate ourselves towards what is healthy and good. Claudia Waldner, our cure coach has put together valuable tips:
DISCOVER YOUR NEW PERSONAL DAILY ROUTINE
The dramatic changes of recent days have completely cancelled our usual daily routines. It’s important to now develop a new personal daily routine that provides structure and support. It helps you to better deal with fears and insecurities and provides your altered daily life with a new rhythm.
OCCUPY YOURSELF WITH “NOURISHING” THINGS AND CARE FOR YOUR BODY AND SOUL
Enjoy little everyday pleasures. Call your relatives and friends. Turn on your favourite music. Drink a lovely cup of tea. Watch a film that you like. Absorb positive energy. This helps you to process the news better.
Run a relaxing bath or pamper yourself with a beauty ritual. Sit down by the window and enjoy the early days of spring. Or read a good book and immerse yourself in a completely different world. You know best what makes you feel good.
START A GRATITUDE JOURNAL
Even when the world around us seems to have come to a standstill, you can find something to be grateful for every day. Just take your calendar or a blank sheet of paper and write down what you are grateful for. Just by thinking and writing about it, you will notice how good it feels to let your thoughts run free.
MAKE USE OF MEDITATION AND MINDFULNESS EXERCISES
Guided meditations and mindfulness exercises are perfect for bringing you back into the moment to realign your focus and overcome stressful times. Here you can find a short 3-minute meditation that you can easily follow at home. Just give it a try!
