DELICIOUS OAT BREAD FROM THE ORIGINAL MAYR CUISINE
Now you can make our beloved gluten-free oat bread at home. Not only does it taste delicious, it is packed full of nutrients and provides huge amounts of energy. It's easy to make too. See our recipe below and video instructions for baking.
250g buckwheat flour, such as our fine organic buckwheat flour
80g ground arrowroot
50g potato starch
20g baking powder
6g bread seasoning, such as our aromatic Baker’s Choice
600 ml soda water
Combine all the ingredients as in the video and mix into a creamy dough. Then put the dough into a baking dish and bake in the oven at 190°C fan for 50 minutes.
OATS: AN EASILY DIGESTIBLE GRAIN
Oats are a popular and very easily digestible cereal grain. They are packed full of nutrients like potassium, zinc and iron, and provide pure energy in the form of long-chain carbohydrates. They contain the fibre beta-glucans which provides a long-lasting feeling of fullness and can have a positive effect on cholesterol and blood sugar levels. Oats are, therefore, particularly suitable for diabetics. For the Original FX Mayr oat bread, we use gluten-free oatmeal which is very well tolerated (e.g. also suitable for those with celiac disease.) Combining it with buckwheat makes a particularly tasty bread.
