Our Chef de Cuisine: ANDREAS WOLFF
Andreas Wolff has been heading up our kitchen since January 2017. This Brandenburg native used to cook at the renowned Fischers Fritz in Berlin and at the Bellevue Palace. Today, the culinary delicacies at the FX Mayr Health Center bear his indistinguishable signature.
FROM BRANDENBURG TO LAKE WÖRTHERSEE
Our new head chef won his first awards in Germany. He worked with star chef Christian Lohse for several years at the renowned two-star restaurant Fischers Fritz in Berlin. This was before he created dishes and menus for private clients, eventually working his way into venues such as the Bellevue Palace, the seat of the German Federal President.
THE ALPINE DAIRYMAN AT THE WEEKLY MARKET
Privately, Andreas loves life in the mountains and had already spent a few summers as an Alpine Dairyman in the Bernese Oberland. This experience is also a reason why he loves working with fresh, regional, and seasonal products, which he obtains either directly from farmers in the vicinity or at one of the many weekly markets in the region. He is regularly off visiting them, and it is not just to rigorously test the quality of the ingredients and their source, but also to draw inspiration for new recipes.
THE EVOLUTION OF THE ORIGINAL MAYR CUISINE
Together with Walpurga Hummitzsch, our nutrition scientist, Andreas is continuously refining the Original Mayr Cuisine with his new and diverse creations. He produces excellent dishes, which put individual ingredients in the spotlight, and helps you experience the food’s purest flavour.
"As head chef, I am pleased to prepare a new and modern interpretation of classic Mayr cuisine for you. These dishes are full of taste, flavour and creativity – for magical moments during your cure.“
